Today, we’re raising a glass to Razvan as he marks an incredible 11 years at Trishna.
Razvan joined us behind the bar in 2014, where his curiosity and passion for drinks quickly stood out. The team soon recognised his growing interest in wine and supported his move into the role of Junior Sommelier — a pivotal step that allowed him to refine his skills and develop his knowledge within a nurturing environment.
By 2017, Razvan had become Head Sommelier, bringing leadership, meticulous attention to detail and deep expertise to the role. In 2023, he was promoted to Beverage Manager, where he now oversees stock, leads supplier visits, and organises regular tastings and trainings that have helped make the wine programme a core part of Trishna’s identity.
A dedicated mentor, Razvan continues to support the next generation of bartenders and sommeliers. Most recently, he collaborated with bartender Kunal to develop a new cocktail menu for our summer-long campaign, A Taste of the Western Ghats — inspired by the spices and produce of the region.
From shaping our beverage offering to being named one of Harpers Top 50 Sommeliers in the UK, Razvan’s impact at Trishna has been both meaningful and lasting. Here’s to Razvan — for the past 11 years, and everything still to come.
